You need to use it very sparingly though, because it has a very strong taste.

Lavender and Hazlenut bread
You will need:
1 tablespoon lavender
100g chopped hazelnuts
2 tablespoons dried yeast
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
625ml warm water
1kg strong bread flour

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in half of the water.
Make a well in the centre of the mixed flour and salt and pour in the dissolved yeast mixture, slowly mixing it in.
Add the lavender, chopped hazelnuts and remaining water gradually to make a dough.
Knead the dough into a ball shape and leave it for 40 minutes.
Knead the dough again and then shape it into your desired loaf shape.
Leave it to prove again for 30 minutes until it has doubled in size.
Gently place your loaf in a preheated oven (350f 180c, gas mark 4) and bake for 30 minutes.
Check your loaf by tapping it underneath. If you hear a hollow sound it is done. If not, leave it for a bit longer.
